Executive Profile
The African Executive Professionals Network (AFEPNET) is a flagship pan-African professional membership network established by the African CEO Council (ACC) to bring together accomplished professionals, senior executives, technical experts, public sector leaders, development practitioners, and emerging executive leaders from across Africa.
AFEPNET serves as a high-level platform for professional networking, executive education, leadership development, knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, research, innovation, mentorship, and strategic collaboration. The Network seeks to strengthen professional excellence, ethical leadership, organizational performance, and technical capacity while promoting active participation by professionals in Africa's economic transformation and sustainable development agenda.
As Africa's economies become increasingly integrated through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and as organizations embrace digital transformation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and global competitiveness, the role of highly skilled professionals has become more important than ever. AFEPNET provides a collaborative ecosystem where professionals across industries can continuously develop their leadership capabilities, expand professional networks, influence policy, and contribute to building globally competitive institutions.
The Network supports implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the African Union Agenda 2063, regional integration initiatives, and national economic development priorities through professional leadership, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration.
Context
Africa is experiencing rapid economic, demographic, technological, and institutional transformation. Organizations across both the public and private sectors require highly skilled professionals capable of leading change, improving productivity, strengthening governance, managing risk, embracing innovation, and delivering sustainable results.
Professionals—including finance executives, engineers, human resource leaders, lawyers, accountants, ICT specialists, procurement experts, project managers, economists, healthcare professionals, sustainability practitioners, and development experts—play a central role in driving organizational success and national development.

Professional associations often operate within single disciplines, while cross-functional executive collaboration remains limited. AFEPNET addresses this gap by bringing together leaders from diverse professions and sectors to exchange knowledge, develop leadership capabilities, and strengthen institutional performance.
