The African CEO Council has announced plans to convene the Sierra Leone CEO Roundtable 2026 on Thursday, 26 November 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aberdeen, Freetown, bringing together business leaders, investors, policymakers and institutional stakeholders to discuss opportunities for enterprise development, investment mobilisation and national economic competitiveness.
Held under the theme “Advancing Enterprise, Investment and National Competitiveness,” the one-day executive gathering will provide a platform for high-level dialogue, strategic networking and partnerships aimed at strengthening the private sector’s contribution to Sierra Leone’s economic development.
Rebecca Paulson, Executive Director of the African CEO Council, said the Roundtable is intended to create a practical platform for business leaders and key stakeholders to engage on issues affecting enterprise growth, investment and the wider business environment.
“The private sector has an important role to play in driving economic growth, creating employment and expanding investment opportunities. The Sierra Leone CEO Roundtable will bring leaders together to exchange perspectives, identify practical opportunities for collaboration and explore how stronger partnerships can contribute to national competitiveness,” Paulson said.
The Roundtable will focus on four interconnected priorities: leadership, capital, growth and partnerships. Discussions are expected to explore executive leadership and corporate governance, access to finance and investment, business expansion, competitiveness, and collaboration between the private sector, government, financial institutions and development partners.
According to the Council, the event is designed to encourage substantive engagement among decision-makers and organisations with a direct interest in Sierra Leone’s business and investment environment. Participants will have opportunities to exchange insights, discuss shared challenges and identify areas for potential cooperation.
Paulson added that meaningful engagement between business leaders and other stakeholders is essential to translating economic opportunities into sustainable enterprise growth.
“We want the Roundtable to go beyond conversation and encourage constructive engagement around the opportunities, challenges and partnerships that matter to businesses. By bringing relevant stakeholders around the same table, we hope to help strengthen connections, encourage investment-oriented thinking and support a more competitive business environment,” she said.
The programme will feature a one-day executive roundtable, followed by an invitation-only networking reception. The Council is welcoming expressions of interest from chief executive officers, managing directors, business executives, investors, banks and financial institutions, professional services firms, consultants, development organisations and prospective institutional partners.
Participation will be by invitation, nomination or approved expression of interest.
The Sierra Leone CEO Roundtable forms part of the African CEO Council’s broader commitment to promoting executive leadership, private-sector development, investment and business collaboration across Africa. Through its roundtables and related initiatives, the Council seeks to facilitate engagement among business leaders and institutions on issues central to enterprise performance and economic competitiveness.
